KCGSB Sponsored Programs

There are several organization in the world today doing great philantropic work. Kiwanis International & Kiwanis
Sunrise applaudes the work of the various organizations and sometimes partners with them in their endeavors.
Sponsored programs that Kiwanis Sunrise supports may be existing organizations or organizations started by the club.

Below are a few programs that KCGSB either started or partners with through financial contributions and/or volunteering service.

KKids - Welleby Elementary

The KKids at Welleby Elementary are young leaders helping others (Started by KCGSB). They conducted 4 fundraisers in 2010 and from the proceeds they were able to donate $120.00 to UNISEF, bought and donated 2 baby car seats, helped with the purchase of 2 thanksgiving baskets and also conducted a toy drive. .American Cancer Society - Relay For Life

The American Cancer Society does the Relay for Life every year. Kiwanis Club of Sunrise participated by sponsoring a team of 6 members led by team captain Director Marjorie Forrest. Everyone had a good time. For more info on The American Cancer Society Relay for Life click here

Food For The Poor

Food For The Poor is one of KCGSB sponsored programs. Partial proceeds from from our Grand Evening Of Elegance 2010 was donated to them to help with relief efforts in Haiti. For more information on this organization click here

Christmas In July

Christmas In July is one of the primary programs supported by all Kiwanis clubs in divisions 23 & 24. KCGSB makes financial contributions as well as hundreds of service hours yearly. .KAPOW

KAPOW is a Broward County school program where volunteers spend a few hours with kids educating them about their occupation. Dir. Sandor and some teachers took the kids on a field trip to 99JAMZ & Hot 105.
